This is Jess Franco’s loose remake of EYES WITHOUT A FACE with a little of the Peter Cushing joint CORRUPTION mixed into the story. Jason Coffman programmed this for his Wednesday edition of TR TV and I agree that it’s shocking this film hasn’t been picked up by Severin, which would be the best horror boutique label for it. It’s definitely one of Franco’s more competent and coherent works and has a decent cast even if both Telly Savalas and Caroline Munro are underutilized (most in the sidebar chat agreed that they both had 1 or 2 day shooting contracts). At least Chris Mitchum gets a lot of screen time looking for the missing girl (Munro).

I know! I remember when they announced it shortly afterwards. Sadly didn’t pick it up and will have to wait a while. Weird bc I’ve gotten most of all the other Jess Franco releases they’ve done.
