Overview
Large star-shaped aliens travel to earth in hopes of warning them about an oncoming catastrophe. To prevent panic about their appearance, one alien takes the form of a popular singer.

Viewing Notes
Note: Arrow is releasing this title sometime this year. I hope it includes both versions!
Watched this a couple years ago via DKUTV but it was thru the Ustream feed which was never very good plus interrupted by commercials. Decided to view it again now that they use the superior Twitch platform. The colors are vibrant like a technicolor film and everything looks so quaint in how each scene is framed, very tight shots. That restoration should look amazing on Blu. Haven’t revisited the butchered English cut but I hope it’s part of the release.
I enjoy the first half of this movie a lot more than the second half but it’s still a good post-war science fiction flick.

I didn’t know Arrow was planning on releasing this. I think I’ll have to pick that one up!

Yeah I just saw a blurb about it only hours before DKUTV posted the programming. I’m glad they’re picking up more older Japanese genre flicks!
