Viewing Notes

Now I can understand why this is a polarizing film with many critics hating on it (out of Cannes). I knew absolutely nothing about other than Pedro Pascal was in it.

It’s a weird movie! I didn’t really mind the “CIVIL WAR” approach or bothsidesism (which I believe is why many dislike the movie) but my major issue is setting it in May 2020. I have zero desire to relive that or see it depicted.

Also a bummer to cast such a big name a barely use that actor.

I don’t love the movie but I did find it engaging and it kept me awake during the midnight slot. (Went the last screening at Muvico to kill some time before going directly to the airport)

I saw the trailer twice recently before other movies and both times I said to Mike “hard pass”.  Totally agree that I am not interested in reliving May 2020.

Your plan to see a movie so close to the airport before you fly out is brilliant!  :)

Heh perhaps it was a good thing I didn’t know it was set during that time or I too would’ve skipped it altogether!

The cinema being close to airport worked out perfectly. So it was a great way to kill some time before my early flight!
